A diverse and eclectic population of over 60 million people inhabit the United Kingdom. This diversity is reflected in its ethnic make-up which is: English 81.5%, Scottish 9.6%, Irish 2.4%, Welsh 1.9%, Ulster 1.8%, West Indian, Indian, Pakistani, and others 2.8%. Modern day Great Britain is also a religiously diverse nation with: 40 million Anglicans and Roman Catholics, 1.5 million Muslims, 800,000 Presbyterians, 760,000 Methodists, 500,000 Sikhs, 500,000 Hindus and 350,000 Jews.
